What We're Pouring Today
Every cup is roasted fresh in-house. Seasonality shapes our menu—what's here now won't be here in three months, and that's by design.
Single-Origin Pour-Overs
Hand-poured, brewed to order. These rotate seasonally as we source new lots from our importing partners. Each one tells a story about where it grew and how it was processed.
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe
Washed process. Notes of jasmine, bergamot, and bright florals with a delicate, tea-like body. This is what got us hooked on Ethiopian coffees—every cup feels like opening a window.
Light Roast
Colombia Huila
Honey-processed. Caramel sweetness, red apple acidity, and a balanced body that feels like it was built for this. Grown high in the mountains—you can taste the elevation.
Medium Roast
Guatemala Antigua
Natural process. Deep cocoa, blackberry, and a full body that lingers. This one doesn't apologize—rich, grounded, exactly what you want when you need to sit with a cup.
Dark Roast
Kenya Nyeri
Washed process. Juicy black currant, bright acidity, and a clean finish that makes you reach for another sip. This coffee practically glows in the cup.
Light Roast
Espresso Bar
All shots pulled from beans roasted here at Rivergate that same week. Our house blend rotates based on what's freshest, but it's always built for balance—dark chocolate, toasted almond, a whisper of sweetness.
Espresso
Single or double shot. Rich, concentrated, no nonsense. The foundation for everything else we pull.
Cappuccino
Espresso and velvety steamed milk. Equal parts coffee and cream, the way it should be. Whole milk or oat.
Flat White
More espresso, less air. Microfoamed milk that moves like water. For the milk-coffee purists.
Cortado
Espresso and steamed milk in equal measure. Sharp and smooth at the same time.
Iced Espresso Drinks
Any drink above, poured over ice with cold milk. Still pulled fresh, still roasted fresh.
Americano
Espresso with hot water. Lets the bean character shine through without milk to soften it.
Cold Brew & Batch Drip
For when you want something different, or when the day calls for speed.
Cold Brew
Slow-steeped overnight. Smooth, low-acid, with notes of dark cherry and molasses. Drink it straight over ice or with a splash of milk. One cup tastes like patience paid off.
Batch Drip
A rotating single-origin, brewed by the batch in the morning and ready to go. No pour-over wait. Just a straightforward, honest cup of coffee.
Pastries & Light Bites
We partner with local Modesto bakers to keep things simple. These are built to complement your coffee, not to compete with it.
Flaky Butter Croissant
Laminated, golden, and the real thing. Pairs with anything, but especially good alongside a pour-over.
Daily Muffin
Flavors rotate. Brown butter banana, lemon poppyseed, blueberry, chocolate chip—made fresh by our neighbors just down the block.
Thick-Cut Cinnamon Toast
Proper sourdough, real butter, real cinnamon sugar. Warm, familiar, exactly what you need at 7 a.m.
Seasonal Fruit & Yogurt Bowl
What's ripe right now, what works. Granola on the side so it stays crisp. Light, bright, a natural pairing with our lighter roasts.
Beans to Take Home
Every single-origin and blend you see on the menu is also available by the bag. Twelve ounces, roasted in-house, roast date marked on every bag so you know exactly how fresh you're taking home.
Not sure which one to grab? Ask the counter staff. We love talking about brew method, grind size, and why one bean might hit different in a French press versus a Chemex. There's no coffee snob energy here—just people who care about what goes in your cup.
A note on freshness: Our single-origins peak about 2–3 weeks after roasting. Use them within a month for the best flavor. Store in an airtight container, away from light and heat. Grind right before brewing.
